Lawrence Hargrave School is a secondary school catering for 63 students who have an emotional disturbance, mild intellectual disabilities and behavioural difficulties. The school has a strong focus on improving student learning outcomes through literacy and numeracy, quality teaching, student engagement and vocational education. At Lawrence Hargrave we use a 'case management' approach to student well being and learning.
Personalised education and behaviour plans are developed in collaboration with family, carers, teachers and government agencies to ensure ongoing improvement in student achievement in all aspects of their school life. Our school is committed to quality partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community. The school is engaged in the Priority Schools and the Positive Behaviour for Learning Programs.
